A day after getting back from St. Louis, we headed back to South Haven for what's always one of my favorite long weekends of the year. We got in pretty early, so we took advantage of the pool at the condo.
This year was really nice because although the kids still wanted us to play with them, there was no one that needed super-close supervision.
We were so busy with them in the pool, the only pictures I got were after we got out.
We had pizza for dinner that night, then headed out for ice cream.

The kids loved the beach and we spent most of two days there.
The kids enjoyed pulling each other around on the boogie board, especially on the day that there were virtually no waves.
We took them to the Kids Korner playground, as is tradition.
They were not nearly as excited about it as I thought they should be, as is also tradition.
We did get a "show," of course. That perked Brooke up a little.

Brooke and I did some shopping, which is something that I think she and I both look forward to. We didn't get this hat for Miles the first time around, but the next night stopped back into the store and got it. It was a hit - for him and the people we passed.

The beach playground is neat, but it's usually too hot to really enjoy playing on. Our first day at the beach was cloudy, though, so the kids were able to have some fun.

On the day that the waves were big, Brooke had a blast trying to wakeboard. Miles, however, did not appreciate the waves in his face. Paige was game either way.
We had rain one afternoon, so we took Paige back to nap and when the rain cleared, Matt took the kids on the "Pirate ship" that we always see sailing when we're in South Haven. Passengers have to be four to get on, so this is the first year it was worth going.
They all seemed to enjoy it.

This mural is outside the building that we stay at and Paige was obsessed. She thought it was really funny and had to go up close to it anytime we passed.

Dinner to reward ourselves. I think Taste has become our favorite restaurant in South Haven. I just wish they had outdoor seating.
The next morning, Matt took the kids back out for the Saugatuck Dune Rides. Being nine months pregnant, I thought it best not to be bouncing around - for the sake of all involved.

It started pouring on our last morning there, so we sadly had to forego one more swim and blueberry picking.
We had lunch at Redamak's on our way back home and the kids conned us into one game each.
