Paige turned one last Sunday. I still can't believe it! It was a hectic day, complete with her dedication at church and family birthday party at our house (posts on those coming soon), but true to form, she was a trooper through everything. Here's a nice picture of her being unimpressed with her balloon at breakfast.
Nothing remarkable has changed between her being eleven months and a year. She continues to move around, but either by rolling or scooting. I've seen her inchworm forward as well as scoot backward a few times. She's saying "Dada" and "Oz" and I feel like she's on the cusp of a few more. She's also really into clucking and making raspberries. She's clapping, waving, and high-fiving consistently.
She's still not super-impressed with strangers smiling at her, although she's a little more willing to have someone other than me hold her if she knows them. Her face lights up when she sees her brother or sister and she's pretty quick to laugh at them. She still only has her two bottom, middle teeth (which I think is really cute). She's not too picky when it comes to food. She's getting one serving of baby food per day and the rest is finger foods. We introduced milk a few days ago and she's taken to that fine. She's able to hold her bottle and sippy cup, but is still happy to get a little help if it's offered.
She had her doctor's appointment on Wednesday and her stats were: Height - 28 1/2" (25%); Weight - 17 lb, 3 oz (12%); Head - 18 1/4" (86%). So, she's a peanut. She can fit most 12 month stuff, but it's a little loose and her 6-12 month stuff still fits, so we're going to wear those as long as we can.
She's still sleeping great, with two naps and going about 12 hours at night. She is such a joy to our family and we all adore her. Happy birthday, Paigey!
