Our Easter this year was full of celebration, and also very busy. We started bright and early with Brooke and I heading to church an hour before it started so she could practice the song that she sang ("How Can It Be" by Lauren Daigle) with some of the other kids. This is the only picture that I have of it (the rest is video), but she was really into it. She was excited and nervous about it leading up to that morning, but she did a great job.
I taught Sunday School for the first service, then joined Matt and his parents for the second service. After church, we came home and the kids got to open their Easter baskets. Brooke has a shortage of stuffed animals in her room, so she was really excited about her purple bunny.
And Paige was excited about the plastic grass in her basket.
Miles was...Miles.
Obligatory family shot. This was taken as Matt's family was arriving for Easter dinner (BBQ)/Miles birthday party.
The night before, we dyed Easter eggs. Paige was content to chew on a plastic egg and watch.
The kids had fun, although I think that Easter egg dying is one of those traditions that always seem more fun and exciting than they actually are.
Miles and I have enjoyed eating the hard boiled eggs. Brooke also gave several to her neighbor friends.
All the kids were dressed up on Easter evening, so we did a little photo shoot.
Let this be evidence that Matt and I should never be responsible for capturing a good picture. Sure, it happens on occasion, but more often than not, it's a fail.
Also, taking pictures of four kids under six (two of them under one) is like herding cats.
That went well. Let's get Grandma Audie in on the action.
Don't worry, we don't need to see anyone's face.
Once again, apologies to all involved on behalf of my husband and myself.
And finally, the grandparents and great-grandma.
This ratio seems a bit more conducive to a semi-successful shot.
Fun with Aunt Jamie!
Bri with Daddy and the Grandmas.
The babies playing together.
Paige and Grandma Audie. Paige was much happier before she saw me. Out of sight, out of mind.
Despite my sarcasm in this post, it really was fun to be together to celebrate such a special day. Happy Easter!
