July St. Louis Visit

We had another visit to St. Louis a couple of weeks ago. The kids got to meet Luke and Lexi's new cousin, Baby Avery. Paige was very taken with her - hopefully a good sign for when our new little guy arrives soon.

We also went to Grant's Farm on Saturday. Paige wasn't super-excited about sitting on the horse initially, but Matt didn't give her a choice and she ended up loving it.

Paige was also really excited to see the birds - and to show them to Grace.

Snow cones. That and the beer for the guys are always highlights of a Grant's Farm visit.

We had a hibachi dinner for Lexi's birthday.

Poor Paige got a few bad bug bites while we were there, including one on her cheek.

Sadly, this is the only pic that I got of the birthday girl. Not my best effort. Happy 8th birthday, Lex! We love you!

Pool Update

Since things have slowed down - and heated up - around here lately, we've spent a fair amount of time at the pool. Paige is learning the art of "relaxing" by the pool and Miles is giving her trouble.

Paige has become pretty good, and fearless with her puddle jumper. She'll go to jump in and does NOT want to be caught. She seems to really like going under.

Miles has also gotten much more comfortable going all the way under.

We're so lucky to have such a great pool to go to!

Sox Game #2

Matt had a golf weekend a few weeks back, and on the day that he got back he offered to take the kids to the Sox game after church. Jamie and Will kindly went along with him and I think everyone appreciated them being there.

I don't have a lot of stories to share here as I wasn't there, but I know that it got hot and the Sox lost.

And they also all loved the tattoos that they got.

This will probably be the last game they see in person this year as Matt has just about given up on this season, so I'm glad they had fun.
