This spring, I signed Miles up for a "Young Sports Stars" class through the park district. There's a group of about 10 kids (all boys, by chance) and each class they focus on a different sport/athletic skill. I think he's having a really good time. It's fun to watch him through the window. He seems very well-behaved, especially compared to some of the more...energetic boys. He's in the blue shirt in the picture below.
He looks for me through the window several times per class and will give me a big smile and wave. A highlight for him is getting stamps on his arms after class.
At their last class, they worked on hitting and throwing a t-ball. Matt's plan for having him bat lefty was foiled when Coach Marsha had each of the boys give her a high five prior to batting.
Brooke is also in a t-ball "clinic" through the park district. It's about 25 kids, with 2 high schoolers running drills. Not the most productive use of time or energy, and probably something we won't do again. But she seems to enjoy it.
And this sweet girls is along with me for all these activities. She's been keeping busy lately by emptying her diaper bag.
(Apologies for all the sub-par photos in this post. It turns out that action shots from a distance from my phone are not my specialty. But you get the idea.)
What is it with kids and stamps? C gets them in her hands and feet after gymnastics and protects them from getting washed off.
