Paige is 6 Months!
A week ago Saturday, my sweet Paige was six months old. I'll give a quick update about her routine and habits as I've done with each of the kids at this point. She generally wakes up between 8-8:30, happy as a clam (unless she's poopy). She hangs out while the older two finish breakfast and we take them to school. After preschool drop-off, or around 9:30, depending on the day of the week, she nurses. If we're home, she'll nap around 10 for an hour or two. If we're out and about, she'll sleep in her carseat when she can. She usually eats again around 1, then goes down for her afternoon nap that lasts around 3 hours (sometimes she stirs after an hour, but will doze back off). She eats again when she wakes up and hangs out until bedtime, around 6:30 or 7. She nurses one more time, then goes down easily. She's waking up once a night to eat, usually between 3 and 4.
She's still sucking her thumb like a champ. She's had rice cereal and bananas, and enjoyed the bananas much more. We're still working on getting solid food consistently into her routine, poor thing. She's rolling both ways and can almost sit tripod. She adores her brother and sister and is usually pretty quick to return a smile from just about anyone. Her hair is still pretty straight and spikey and her eyes are definitely going to be brown. No teeth yet, although she'll chew on anything she can get her hands on. She's gotten pretty grabby lately, too.
Her six months stats were: height - 26" (54%), weight - 14 lb, 10 oz (21%) and head 18" (99% - wah-wah). The doctor was really impressed with her improved head shape and gross motor skills. She is such a joy and a perfect addition to our family and we couldn't love her more!
