Family Visit

This past weekend, my brothers, Krissi, Alexis and Bonnie came to visit. It's always so much fun to have a house full of people, especially now that the girls keep everyone busy. On Friday, Brooke finally made it to her first Tiger game. We made it until halftime (2 hours past her bedtime) before calling it a night. Brooke and Lexi had fun watching the flag team and band warming up for halftime.

On Saturday, we trekked into the city for an ill-fated tourist trip. We scrapped a trip to Shedd when we realized how much it would be for all of us to get in, only to need to leave an hour later when one of the girls melted down. Instead, we went to lunch at Ed Debevic's.

The food was disappointing and our waitress wasn't even that mean. We were going to head to Navy Pier afterward, but aborted that plan when we realized how cold and rainy and miserable we were going to be (there's really no way to describe our day without sounding full of excuses). So, we headed back to the 'burbs and hung out at the house the rest of the day. I fully plan to be better prepared with activities for visitors in the future, but in all honesty I had a great time just hanging out at home.

I struggled on the photo-ops. Maybe next time...
