Paige at 21 Months

Paige gets more and more personality every day. She loves to explore upstairs, especially Brooke's room. She'll come out of her room with at least one of Brooke's purses on her shoulder and sometimes a necklace on. She also wants to be dressed as soon as she's up in the morning. Her PT wants her to wear her shoes as much as possible. It took her awhile to get used to, because she wants to take her shoes off when we get home like everyone else, but she's now acclimated. She also likes to have a headband, and sometimes a hat, everyday.

She loves to make others laugh. Another new thing that she's doing is laughing when Miles and Brooke laugh at something on tv, even though I doubt she has any idea what they think is funny. She's been separating pretty easily for the things that we do each week, like BSF and Sunday School. She went through a biting phase but that seems to be at least mostly over now.

She's my most curious toddler thus far. We've had a couple of toilet incidents, including her flushing about 1/4 of a roll and dropping some toys in. She is NOT happy when she gets a firm no. She often throws things to express her displeasure. Her speech is slowly improving. She's imitating words much more and is now saying "Mama" and "Dada." Even without the speech, she's great at getting her point across and understands everything that we say and that's going on.

She's a big dairy eater/drinker and is a pretty good fruit eater. Veggies, meats, and even carbs are hit-or-miss with her, though. That helps explain how tiny she is.

Her gross motor is really improving! She's walking now - I've seen her do at least 10 steps multiple times; we often have to encourage her to stand up to walk distances, though. She's such a fast little scooter! Her PT is really impressed with her progress. She's been working hard.

She can be independent and strong-willed. She's a little firecracker and she lights up our lives. We love you, Paigey!
