Brooke turned six yesterday. It's still so hard to believe. While a part of me is sad to see my baby growing up, it's also so much fun to see her continue to become a little lady and develop her own personality. And personality is something that she does not lack! She makes us laugh daily. She also makes us proud and challenges us everyday. It's all part of the journey, right?
On her birthday, she woke up in a very good mood. We had cinnamon rolls and she opened her cards from Gigi and Grandpa Charlie and Aunt Linda and Uncle Dan. Then she was off to school, where she gave each kid in her class a treat (a slinky and hand clicker/glow stick) and got to wear a crown.
We got home from school, had a quick lunch and took Miles to his speech class. Brooke was playing in our toy room (while I blogged, actually) and she commented that "this is the best birthday ever!" Shortly after that, her Edible Arrangement from Grandma and Papa T arrived, then Grammie Deb came over with another little present.
Then, Aunt Jamie took her to Yogli Mogli and brought her back in time for us to go to Wok n' Fire (her choice) as a family, where she enjoyed edemame, sushi and a kiddie cocktail.
Finally, she had dessert (a cookie) and opened her gifts from us. The Shopkins store was the highlight, but again, she was very thankful for everything.
Happy birthday, sweet girl! We couldn't love you more!
