Aaannd August is almost over. How did that happen? We've continued to stay busy doing random things like visiting new playgrounds.
Swimming, when it's warm enough.
I'd like to say taking lots of baths, but fairly often I count the pool or splash pad as a summer bath. They enjoy them when they take them, though.
Look at those tan lines!
We've also spent a lot of time playing with the neighbors. Brooke was sad that they were back in school today.
Rough-housing with Daddy is usually fun.
We watched Daddy complete in Wheaton Man of the Year. Yes, they're still doing it. I'm proud to say that Matt came in third (and Mike won!) this year.
She's getting more and more helpful. (She wanted to do this, for the record.)
We continue to fight nap time. She's napping 2-3 times a week these days, wherever seems most comfortable.
And this little guy has had quite a month. I finally trimmed his mullet, he's getting really good at standing up independently and he's consistently taking 5-6 steps on his own. He's also getting more and more words, although he usually chooses to grunt or whine, "Mama!" If you make a statement to him followed by, "Okay?" He'll say, "Kay." He loves playing with and saying "bubbles" and "ball". He's also strangely obsessed with ceiling fans being on and throwing things in trash cans. Even if he doesn't have trash, he'll rub his fingers together as thought there's a little piece of trash. It's cute/weird. He's still pretty easygoing and very lovable and has become quite the Mama's boy.
um...seriously your bambino's are adorable!
